- This gorgeous gal is so very soft, and the chaotic shelter environment is far too much for her. She thinks people are scary until you get low to the ground and give her some love – then all she wants is to be by your side! She has a very gentle and mannerly side, and some confidence building will do wonders! She participates in shelter playgroups with gentle and playful dogs, and is much more playful once she is comfortable and feels safe! Another dog in her home to show her the ropes would be so helpful! We suspect she would be OK with children, but a chaotic, rambunctious home might be too much for her. She just needs to get into the comfort of a loving home and she’ll thrive!

Meeting Dogs at the Stockton Shelter
The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
