- Our hearts break for this gal. Such a sad case. She’s in poor condition, underweight, her skin is a mess, she has masses, and has not been cared for and has not been treated kindly. With any hand movements, she instantly moves her head to the side. She’s absolutely been hit and was most likely on streets for some time. She deserves so much more. She’s gentle, mannerly and sad – and has in a way almost given up on kindness and compassion. She participates in shelter playgroups with gentle and dainty dogs. We suspect she would be OK with mannerly children. She needs to be in a home ASAP where she will get showered with love and care. We suspect she’ll thrive in a loving environment and show to be much more outgoing! What more rewarding experience is there?

Meeting Dogs at the Stockton Shelter
The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
