Boomer 🐶

  • Animal ID#: A326265
  • Dog Name: Boomer
  • Dog Sex: Neutered Male
  • Approximate Age: 2 years
  • Rock star alert! This gorgeous boy is fun, playful, the life of the party and affectionate. He would love another playful dog in his home! We suspect he would be OK with children. He’s truly one all-around fab boy!!!
  • His foster says: “Boomer is magnificent. He’s happy, social, mannerly, affectionate, endearing, sometimes silly, a good mix of easy-going and active, and loves playful dogs. His favorite activity is to be outside chilling with people and playing with dog friends. On top of all that goodness, he is housetrained, knows basic commands (sit, stay, shake), doesn’t guard food or toys, and is easy to handle — ears, teeth, and feet too. He’s calm during car rides and is great on leash walking by himself or with another dog. Boomer truly is an all-around fabulous boy and will thrive in a home with active loving people and dog friends to play with.  This rock star is totally ready for his forever home.”
  • During his Dog Day Out (photos below), the volunteer said: “Boomer is absolutely gorgeous and fabulous. He’s a smart, mannerly, easy going, affectionate, level-headed guy who loves to take walks and hang-out — he was super helpful watching us fix up the garden area today. He was calm during the care ride, was great on leash, and he has a gentlemanly presence. It was a really great experience hanging out with him today.”

Meeting Dogs at the Stockton Shelter

The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
