- This is the most precious, low-key babe. She’s been used up apparently for breeding and her eyes look hopeless, which breaks our hearts. She’s terrified of being harmed and as you touch her she shakes. She coexists with dogs and is scared. It’s hard to find a dog that more deserves a loving home where she’ll be treated with kindness and compassion. And we can’t wait to see her in one!
- She’s already thriving in temporary foster after a few days! Her fosters say, “She is a little bundle of perfect, in fact, if it is okay, we would love to foster her for longer. Her little body is packed with love, gratitude and forgiveness. My hope is she will really benefit from home environment and all the pillows and blankets to make these funny little beds she likes lol. I think she is magical! My funny little dog is in love with her (a first for her, with ANY dog) they were both bred badly so it’s sweet. She also hit it off with my son immediately, he really brings out her silly side! From day one she has been open, friendly, very loving and very cuddly! She is crate trained and as far as I can tell potty trained. She also has the sweetest grumbles and sometimes it’s like she is purring! She’s spectacular!”

Meeting Dogs at the Stockton Shelter
The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment.
