Gidget 🐶

  • Animal ID#: A320151
  • Dog Name: Gidget
  • Dog Sex: Female
  • Approximate Age: 5 years
  • Gorgeous rock star alert! This gal is absolutely lovely in every way! She’s gentle, mannerly, not pushy for attention but definitely enjoys it, easy-going and that perfect medium energy! She loves to get her run on but then is ready to relax! We suspect she would be OK with mannerly children. She participates in shelter playgroups with gentle and dainty dogs. She’s just fabulous!!!
  • On a Dog Day Out, volunteers said, “She was such a sweet girl and had a great day. Mike took her to victory park and they walked all around with a lot of other people and dogs and he said that she did not react to any of the dogs and had no interest as they would walk by.She was great in the car and on the leash. When we got her home she was very happy and got the zoomies all over the yard. She just wanted you to love her and rub her belly. She really enjoyed leaping like a deer on our couch outside and would run around like a nut before she leapt on top of you! Lol

After running around and playing she was quite happy just to lay on the couch with Mike and relax for a little bit. She has quite a bit of energy for 5 years old and she is really a good girl.

I think she would do great with a family who is very active as she still has lots of energy but would definitely enjoy planting herself on the couch watching TV.”

Meeting Dogs at the Stockton Shelter

The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
