  • Animal ID#: A313583
  • Dog Name: Carter
  • Dog Sex: Neutered Male
  • Approximate Age: 2 years
  • This stunning guy is an absolute riot! He’s all about the fun and is very playful with both humans and playful female dogs! He’s such a silly character who’s also adventurous, active, the life of the party and always happy! He would love some property to run and get his play on! He’s happy as a clam and ready to join a family!!!
  • From Carter’s foster: Carter is such an awesome dog that it is tempting to not make this advertisement for him. He is confident and has a strong playdrive… going out on adventures and playing with other friendly dogs is his favorite thing. When he’s not doing that he will chew on his kong and take naps while I work. He walks well on the leash and is starting to learn some obedience commands. He has always been friendly but after a few weeks his engagement and bond with me started to get strong. He does great with young kids and is not fearful or timid about noise. He is house trained and sleeps in the crate at night quietly. If you are looking for a sweet and friendly goofball with a strong sense of self Carter is your guy. He makes me laugh at least once a day with his antics and funny personality. He would suit a family who had a friendly and playful dog to play with, or could be happy being the only dog if you had a friend or family member that had a dog he could have play dates with. If you have a decent sized yard for him to do zoomies that would be ideal. He currently lives with a small and old dog who wants to be left alone and he usually does as he realized she is boring.

Meeting Dogs at the Shelter

The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
