Eli 🐶

  • Animal ID#: A312111
  • Dog Name: Eli
  • Dog Sex: Neutered Male
  • Approximate Age: 1 year
  • This adorable guy is very gentle and very sweet! He’s a total marshmallow! After he’s healed up from a broken pelvis, we expect he’ll show his active, playful side! We suspect he’ll be OK with playful dogs. We also suspect he would be OK with mannerly children. He’s one all-around lovely boy!!!
  • His foster says, “Eli is curious, loves playing with lure dog toy/toys, and he’s a bit of goofball. He loves to sniff out/hunt for his kibble and any treats. He’s highly treat motivated, crate-trained and mostly house-trained. He does well with slow introductions and treats work wonders! Once he knows you he is all happy tail!
He thrives with mental stimulation and loves spending time outside with his people or dog friends. He gets along great with the two resident dogs and loves playing with them. He lives in a home with kids 3-10 and a teen – and loves to cuddle with the teen. He’s awesome!”

Meeting Dogs at the Stockton Shelter

The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
