- Animal ID#: A309730
- Dog Name: Sprout
- Dog Sex: Neutered Male
- Approximate Age: 5 years
- This is one precious baby with precious eyes. This sweet boy found his way to us after being severely attacked out on the streets – but he was such a champ through the recovery process and is ready to put it all behind him! He’s a silly and happy-go-lucky dude!
- In a wonderful foster home, he is thriving and such a dream! His foster says, “He’s a smart boy who would make a great family dog. He knows sit, down, shake with both paws, and even knows speak. He likes to cuddle but is not overly pushy. He’s easy to walk and maintains loose leash. He’s house-broken and uses the doggie door. He’s the perfect medium-energy blend. He enjoys meeting new people and offers up some kisses. He’s great with (the resident male dog) Bear and is respectful of his space. He doesn’t have issues with barking, chewing or having accidents in the house. He’s such a sweet boy who deserves a loving family!”

Meeting Dogs at the Stockton Shelter
The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
