- Rock star alert! Despite being kept outside 24/7 and having a lack of care, this guy is a dream! He quickly captured all of our hearts at the shelter. His foster says, “Chance is an absolute love. He enjoys being near his human, and he has adjusted well with his foster siblings. He loves playing with his foster-dog sister and coexists with his foster-dog brothers. He lives for snuggling and being close to you. He has played with toys and shows no sign of resource guarding. He has learned to take naps with his foster siblings. He loves being with the family. He is nervous with strangers, and will need a family to continue to show him the world isn’t such a scary place. He needs a kind, patient and loving family.” Nothing would bring all of us and him more joy than seeing him be a treasured indoor family member!

Meeting Dogs at the Stockton Shelter
The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
