  • Animal ID#: A307130
  • Dog Name: Dodge
  • Dog Sex: Male
  • Approximate Age: 7 years
  • This is one fabulous, awesome boy! He is mannerly, sweet and super precious. In foster, he’s been easy-breezy: All he wants is a comfy couch or dog bed, a bit of yard to wander around and watch for squirrels in, and maybe a few short walks, and he’s perfectly happy! He’s happy-go-lucky and has a face that can melt a million hearts!!! He’s on the slower-moving side most of the time, but is delighted to have a yard to explore at his own pace and loves a leisurely walk! He isn’t destructive and is fine being on his own for a bit! He’s also pretty quiet – other than his chortles and snorts that are absolutely adorable and a few barks!!! He’s a sweetie pie who’s so happy to see you every time (even doing little tappy taps and dancing) and is the most joyful dude!! He loves to give kisses and even enjoys hugs and falling asleep in your lap. He participated in shelter playgroups with gentle and dainty female dogs. We suspect he would be OK with mannerly children. He’s one adorable and wonderful sweetheart who so deserves a loving forever home!!!

😍 The sounds and face of a shelter dog who knows he’s safe!!! There’s truly nothing better!!!
📢 Foster boy Dodge is so freakin adorable!! He’s in temporary foster till mid-January and we can’t see this incredible senior go back to the overcrowded Stockton shelter!!!

Meeting Dogs at the Shelter

The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
