  • Animal ID#: A307130
  • Dog Name: Dodge
  • Dog Sex: Neutered Male
  • Approximate Age: 9 years
  • This is one fabulous, awesome boy! He is sweet, silly and super precious. In foster, heโ€™s been easy-breezy: All he wants is a comfy couch or dog bed, a bit of yard to wander around and watch for squirrels in, and a few short walks, and heโ€™s perfectly happy! He bonds very strongly to his people and loves giving and receiving love! Heโ€™s happy-go-lucky and has a face that can melt a million hearts!!! (He’s a huge hit at his vet, where everyone melts over him and he has to say “hi” to everyone!) Heโ€™s on the slower-moving side most of the time, but is delighted to have a yard to explore at his own pace and loves a leisurely walk! He isnโ€™t destructive and is fine being on his own for a bit! He’s house trained! Heโ€™s also pretty quiet – other than his chortles and snorts that are absolutely adorable and a few barks!!! Heโ€™s a sweetie pie whoโ€™s so happy to see you every time (even doing little tappy taps and dancing) and is the most joyful dude!! He loves to give kisses and even enjoys hugs and falling asleep in your lap. He participated in shelter playgroups with gentle and dainty female dogs. We suspect he would be OK with mannerly children. He’s one adorable and wonderful sweetheart who so deserves a loving forever home!!!

Meeting Dogs at the Shelter

The shelterโ€™s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
