• Animal ID#: A305475
  • Dog Name: Duke
  • Dog Sex: Neutered Male
  • Approximate Age: 2 years, 9 months
  • This is one overall easy-breezy dude, who also happens to be gorgeous! He was mannerly with people despite being a tad anxious in the shelter environment. He’s a great, middle-ground guy: He enjoys affection but isn’t pushy about it either, so has an independent side as well! He needs to be your only dog. With dogs, he is peaceful about stating “no thank you,” barking at them if he needs to tell them to back off. He needs to put on some weight. He’ll be an easy addition to a home and just wants to be part of a family!

Meeting Dogs at the Shelter

The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
