• Animal ID#: A305260
  • Dog Name: Roo
  • Dog Sex: Male
  • Approximate Age: 10 months
  • This boy is so soft and sweet finds the shelter environment to be very overwhelming. He’s scared of the leash, cowers, and just really needs confidence and continued socialization as part of a family. One thing that helps: other dogs. He participates in shelter playgroups with gentle and playful dogs and absolutely loves it. He allows pets from people, but is nervous and afraid. With patient and committed adopters, along with another dog to show him the ropes, this fabulous boy will thrive!

Meeting Dogs at the Shelter

The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested into a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
