  • Animal ID#: A298561
  • Dog Name: Roxy
  • Dog Sex: Spayed Female
  • Approximate Age: 10 years
  • This wonderful girl has captured all of our hearts, including her foster’s!
Foster Anthony says of this girl: “She’s pretty great with no major issues. You guys did a great job training her up! She’s super sweet and is a great dog! I’m amazed by how great her temperament is!

“Roxy is a very sweet dog. She’s very affectionate, loves to be petted, and will shadow you all over the house. She loves to be around her caretaker and is super happy when people visit the house too. She loves playing tug of war with squeaky plush toys, chewing on bully sticks, and cuddling in the couch/bed. When I’m busy and not able to play with her, she just falls asleep nearby.”
Roxy is house trained, knows how to use the doggy door in her foster home, is good with children and loves playing in the water! She has plenty of zest for life and most don’t believe she’s 10! She participated in shelter playgroups with gentle and dainty male dogs. She’s truly an amazing girl!

Roxy had a great time on her Dog Day Out of the shelter…she started her day off on a scenic walk around the park, and ended her day sleeping on the couch. She was extremely easy to handle while walking and great in the car. She also did very well with listening to commands that were given to her. What a sweetie!

Meeting Dogs at the Shelter

The shelter’s kennels are loud, stressful places for dogs. Some dogs express that stress by exhibiting behavior inside a kennel that they will not show otherwise. Please ask to take the dog you are interested in to a play yard and spend some time getting to know him or her in that more relaxed environment. For more information on meeting dogs at the shelter, please read this article.
